The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual unveiling of newcomers ahead of the title's release, to trainers developing firm opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. The Crab – Super Manectric

Cancer is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for frequently getting wrapped up in their feelings. The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The sign known for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.

Libra – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are many Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them worry even more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly tragic origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through pure hatred and vowed retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. As a Archer personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol
